Didn't say that did i i said its about time the younger players stepped it up a peg or 2 its getting embarrassing TBH

Its not as if the older players blast them off the table they just cant hack it which frustrates the rubbish out of me.

Tony Drago age 47
Jimmy White age 51
Scott Donaldson age 19

I just dont get why its a bad thing? Atleast they have character <laugh>

These younger players are learning their apprenticeships, they have time on their side, things will change slowly, already seeing it with the likes of Williams and Higgins being over taken by trumps, lisowskis and dings.

Thing I like about the older players is the fact they all have different styles of play, different cue actions, timing, shot selection, clever shot making, different break building techniques and so on.

The younger players seem to be all very samey with coached cue actions and breakbuilding techniques with little personality. Maybe thats because theyre not used to be on the cameras yet and so on.

Oh, that's one thing I have to agree with. So many players feel so similar in their styles of play. There are some matches where I wouldn't be able to tell who was at the table if weren't for the score graphic.

Anyone have any idea what's happened to Dave Harold ? It would appear he hasn't played in the first two qualifying events of the season yet I can't seem to find any news on him withdrawing from them or retiring from the game completely.

Maybe was too young last time, still young now as he got on by being Asian Under 21 Champion (where he edged Mohammad Majid Ali of Pakistan in the final). Certainly off to a good start now, don't think Jamie Jones will have it all his own way tomorrow.

Probably the highest standard match of the day was Paul Davison v Peter Lines

Paul Davison made breaks of 99, 95, 66 and 56 and in the one frame he won Peter Lines made a 93

Another exultant match was Aditya Mehta v Robbie Williams it was nip and tuck all the way with great snooker played it was 2-2 at the interval with Robbie Williams making 2 breaks of 69 then after the interval Robbie went 3-2 up with a break of 54 before Adi hit back with runs of 64 and 73 to lead 4-3 before Robbie Williams closed out the final 2 frames to win 5-4 limiting Adi to 18 points.

Michael White was on a 147 he finished too straight on the final pink so he couldnt get good on the black he tried to cut it from the middle pocket area but it was to hard and missed it.
