what a farcial set up this tourny is
why not split the draw into 2 halves and have 4 of the last 16 matches this morning then they get a rest till this evening for their quarter finals, with the 2 other quarters from the top half being played this afternoon.
As well as meaning players dont have to play 2 matches in a row in a proper ranker, itd also mean more focus for fans in the arena on just 2 quarters at a time, plus itd mean 2 would be on tv, instead of just 1.

Robbo is a camp coughing runt. Only an Aussie banker would care if he won or lost.

in a flat structure if you want all at a venue unfortunately that's how it would be the only other alternative is a Ranker Lasting 2 Weeks which doesn't look like Happening.

rubbish
why couldnt Selby, Fu, Murphy and Carter play this morning
This tournament is crazy
about 30 odd games crammed into the first 2 days then they decide to have no morning session on Day 3 and then force 4 players to play a last 16 match and a quarter final in a row.
Why the hell they only have this event as a 5 day one is a mystery anyway, yeh it has 5 tables in the arena, but theres a hell of a chaotic rushed feel to it early on. Why not spin it out 7 days anyway, so the latter stages can feel like a proper ranker instead of 4 quarters all being on at once, plus so 2 extra days income can be gained at the door from punters

I couldnt agree more witz, why on earth didnt they put a morning session today, like the past 2 days? If that was the case, we could at least watch one more televised quarter final, instead of just one and the other 3 on non tv tables... the arena is great and all, but they definately need to sort this scheduling problems.

yes I agree this tournament should be played over 7 days
maybe with less tables but more streamed tables and it wouldnt feel like a ptc
and it is said every year at every German tournament how much they like snooker in Germany, I think they would deserve a longer tournament
or even if not Im sure the would be more people watching than in the Chinese tournaments..
and if they have only 1 tv table why dont they put matches on
its 3 hours since the last tv match still more than half an hour until next match
no snooker in exactly the time where I could watch

CARTER - Holts a bottle job and has just had a lucky easy run, Carter 5-2
MURPHY - Logic says Robbo should win but Murphys due a win and i think his recent bad losses will see him regroup a bit. Murphy 5-3
FU - Fancy Fu to produce some decent stuff though it will still be close. Fu 5-3
SELBY - Hawkins will be no pushover but Selbys on a roll at the mo. Selby 5-3

How on earth did Holt make it to the 1/4,s!!.
Robbo should beat Murphy,Murphys well known for producing good snooker in the 1st,2nd rounds, but he seems to crumble like a cookie as soon as he reaches the 1/4,s,especially the semis.
How on earth did Fu and Stevens make it to the 1/4,s!.
Come on Mark!!.
