Too Much China

Postby AC or LT?

This season snooker has given China eight ranking events - Wuxi Classic, Shanghai Masters, International Championship, China Open Asian PTC1, Asian PTC2, Asian PTC3 and the World Open.

Surely these Asian PTCs would have been better in countries like India where a snooker scene is emerging, like PTCs are being used in mainland Europe rather than to give China more and more tournaments.

Nobody turns up to them, I'm mean there was hardly anybody watching the Asian PTC - it might as well of been played in a club. It just seems like it's giving a massive advantage to Chinese players to be able to play in them without having worked their way onto the main tour.
