So after UK PTC 1 and some good displays from some Amateurs of which Gareth Allen won one (Lost 4-0 to David Grace in the Last 32) its Back to the Main Ranking circuit and Qualifying for the Shanghai Masters and Gareth is one of 2 Amateurs the other Being Frazer Patrick ( who ran Jamie Burnett Close before Loosing 4-3 in the Last 128) are Taking Part in Qualifying with the Pros Dropping Below 96 it gives them opportunity.

Jack Lisowski who made the Final in UK PTC 1 has to win 2 matches to get to the venue and will be starting on Thursday with Graeme Dott the seeded player he could meet in Shanghai.

FFS <doh>.

Hope HVA gets whatever problem he has sorted soon; he looked like he could be a cracking player in the six reds and seemed eager to play. Don't want him to get it sorted near the end of the season when he's at a massive disadvantage pointswise and then ends up falling off the tour in 2014.

bureaucracy gone mad.

hes a 17 year old lad wanting to play make a mark in his chosen sport and because of logistics of his birth it seems the British system is being hammers.

i honestly think he should be thrown off tour (in a nice way lol) and told to sort it all out and have a 2 year card for 2013/2014-2014/2015 seasons.

whatever is the problem hes not being treated fair by anyone.

The problem Wild is that "bureaucracy" has other priorities than snooker. Have you asked yourself why people need visas at all?
Countries in general are not keen to accept people without making sure that they won't just add to the number of unemployed and tap in the benefits system. Their own citizens certainly wouldn't like it especially considering how many of them struggle to get a job that secures them a decent living. They also want to be certain that they don't let people in the country who would be a threat to security or be involved in traffics and other illegal activities. I'm afraid that currently "muslim" countries are under particular scrutiny when it comes to this. This probably applies to Mohamed Khairy as well, who is Egyptian.
The fact that the Olympics are about to start certainly doesn't make things smoother. UK certainly has an unusual number of visas demands and they will be doubly cautious with security matters.
Also Hossein Vafaei Ayouri is only 17, which means that in regard of his own country laws he's probably under age. Majority at 16 as it is in UK is the exception rather than the rule. In most countries it's 18 and in some it's still 21. If that's the case, it might be a problem with his own country authorities. Iran is one of the worst countries when it comes to freedom and human rights. Also, going by his name, chances are that he is a Parsi, the same ethnical group as the former Shah, Reza Pahlavi. Those people are particularly targeted by the current regime.
So before ranting at people and insulting them on Internet, you should maybe ask yourself the right questions.
I never said that it is right that the lad has so many problems, I just said that putting it on people being "idiots" and "incompetent" is a simplistic view. The situation is much more complex than that.
And as for me "knowing rubbish about snooker", you're entitled your opinion, but this has nothing to do with snooker. It's about International relationships and agreements, rules regarding immigration matters and countries politics. There is no way the persons involved or even the snooker authorities can do much about it.

The only reasonable answer would be to, either have a break of at least 3 months in the season (other sports have a break, so why not?) or to have a policy that events carrying a tour card and taking place later that March (for instance or even earlier) will "count" for the season after the coming one (so in this case 2014/15).

Nothing, but they won't know that. Most terrorists had perfectly regular jobs and families. As for snooker, it's a self-employed job with no guaranteed incomes.
