Yes, for some reason this didn't inspire me initially, but now quite liking the idea of seeing who plays well with less balls on the table!
Just hoping I don't have a similar week to this week, haven't had much time for watching snooker.
Asking myself if we're really going to see Hossein Vafaei Ayouri this time (anyone know the extent of his Visa problems?) ... disappointed no Brazilians given the popularity of 6 reds there.

Looking forward to this really, nice quick easy frames, but still proper snooker really.
Especially with the eurosport coverage which is actually quite good. How many maximums you think we will see?

Surely with Ricky Walden and Stuart Bingham due to play on Monday at 4am the Schedule must change now that they made the Wuxi Classic final.

It should be, but I don't think it will be. I seem to remember that when Selby won this event last year he was playing in Brazil 24 hours later.

I was skeptical originally when they originally did six-red tournaments, but must confess I've enjoyed them when I've watched them.
What I don't like is group-stage matches, and all that bullocks. It lessens the excitements. The two group stage Grand Prixs were amongst the worst tournaments they've ever had.
Still, at least they are best of nine. Which is good.

I see 4 go through from each group which is slightly ridiculous considering there's only 5 in each group.

Might stick this on the Sky+, makes a change to the standard China B.09 tournaments that seem to be saturating the sport.

Rules is the same as Proper Snooker apart from
1) only 6 Red Balls. (pretty obvious but there are some thick people out there)
2) 4 misses and then it's play again or cue ball anywhere
3) players can't snooker behind nominated colours

they can if its not a foul.
Basically in this if a player goes for a shot to nothing gets the pot finish on the balk cush then you cant trickle in behind a balk colour.
