Maguire has missed so many snookers, he now needs one to win this frame.

sucha good QF line-up and this is the final we end up with.
Having said that, If Maguire could ride this out and stick with it, it could be the making of him but as expected he's wilting in this type of environment.

With all the fibre from his vegan diet he might need something else.
Anyway 4-1 Ebdon. Maguire really needs the break.

Guys, this is the most brutal final I have ever seen. only 80 mins until the next session is due to start but this next frame could very well last 40 mins. Maximum of 6 frames played in this session, not good at all.

You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind; a journey into a nightmare land whose boundaries are that of mental torture. That's the signpost up ahead, your next stop, the Twilight Zone (or Beijing students gymnasium).
Sunday April 1st, a day Stephen Maguire aged 31 will never forget.....

Great final so far. Maguire is playing well, and has giving the former World Champion a tough time, restricting him to just 5 frames in the first session.
Ebdon needs to stay focused as he knows Maguire is well up for winning this title.
It should be a great second session.

To be honest, with the way he has been over the last two seasons or so, I don't really expect him to play two good events in a row. When he won in China in 2009, he went on to lose in the 1st round of the WC to Nigel Bond, looking completely out of sorts.

The session wasn't slow. It is just that the Attention Deficit Disorder generation have got used to everything being over in an instant.
This type of match was the norm years ago.

New session new match. Maguire has to dictate the pace. If he does I can see him running away with it.

The score hasn't changed for a couple of minutes now, so bad news for Stephen.

I have a feeling Magure will get close - however Peter will win enough scrappy frames to take the match 10-8ish.

Yeah most players would've gone all out for the red to middle with the rewards there for the taking, not Ebbo.
