Monday 27th of February - Sunday 4th of March in Haikou, Hainan Island,China

Its a very unfamiliar Look to a Ranking Quarter Final with both Mark King and Robert Milkins having made it through. and UK and Masters champions both Making the journey home.

John Higgins though could make hay while the sun shine and it opens the Door to the Winner of Selby v Murphy to add to their Ranking Haul or Mark Allen at Last putting his name on a Trophy.

Who will make the Semi Finals ?

Witz has done nothing that I don't like. Apart from crawling up Hearn's bottom.

Every time a player has the audacity to speak out against Hearn you immediately have a downer on him. Surely everyone has the right to an opinion.

but what opinion ?

Am back and looked at the scores today.

Higgins completely trashed Cope, but don't know how well he played. From what I hear, Cope didn't put him under any pressure. Should have an easy run to the semis though and could maybe push on. Dott got past Campbell as expected.

Lee thrashed Robbo, and a total five centuries in the match. Of course centuries mean nothing if you lose, as MJW would tell you after losing to Lee in China.

King beat Ford. can't believe I predicted Ford to win; King is a scrapper.

Allen played extremely well to beat Judd from 3-0 down, making three centuries. Judd seems to be feeling pressure now. I think he got too cocky after teh Uk Champs and forgot that the otehr top players can play as well as him. I think he's been half expecting everyone to roll over and let him walk past and it's been a shock that they aren't. Allen seems to play well when surrounded by contreversy.

Murphy and Selby through as expected, and its time for the World no1 to get his revenge for the Masters and Berlin ;-)

That post was actually directed at Witz. He seems to have a boy crush on Hearn.

Strange how the momentum seems to shift during the season. In the beginning Selby and MJW were the best players, then both dipped as Trump and Robbo rose. Ronnie had a good moment and now the momentum doesn't seem to belong to anyone. The only consistent players have been Murphy, who has been consistently good, and Carter who has been consistently bad!

be typical of him to start hitting form now :gag:

It would, wouldn't it? He'll win this and the China Open now, and turn up at The Crucible full of confidence.

He doesn't want to win the China Open. When's the last time the winner of the penultimate tournament won the Worlds?

Brave prediction but I very much doubt that will happen. He may get to the final of this event because of the easy draw but his downward slide will continue after that. <ok>
