Laxman Rawat won the Junior Championship in a round robin contest between the top 4 players, despite being beaten by a frame by favourite Himanshu Jain, as Jain slipped up in one of his other matches.

It's an interesting question whether a player falling off the tour can be re-nominated and if so, would World Snooker accept the nomination ... worth noting that last year he wasn't the nominee of the Indian Federation, but was the 'Asian Nominee' (I think this must be by the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports, but not really sure!)
