so here we go again with Qualifying for the China Open only a day after China's own Ding Junhui won in Wales....can he Win the Tournament he won in 2005 as a 17 year old Wild Card ?
Question is how many if any Chinese Players will join Ding in the Main Draw from the Qualifiers this week ?

Those are particularly pointless now as there are so many Chinese players on the tour. And the fact that they are allowed to play at the venue just based on on World Snooker wanting them to be there goes against what Hearn said about rewarding mediocrity. "Okay, as you're Chinese/popular, lets allow you to play at the venue."

Big game for Sam Baird today. It would be a travesty if he qualifies for two venues but still doesn't remain on the tour

Yeh that would just sum up how flawed the present ranking system is, between the farcial starter points, the disadvantageous teired ranking system, the points allocations for wins and events being so inconsistent, and the farce that top 8 on ptc list instead of 1 year list survive.
