Defending champion Barry Pinches joins Belgian Pros Luca Brecel and Bjorn Haneveer this weekend at the Interconnect Dutch Open. English amateurs Michael Wild and Lee Richardson are also at the event, alongside top amateur Belgian players Hans Blanckaert, Kevin van Hove and Tomasz Skalski, the best Dutch amateurs such as Maurice Le Duc, Roy Stolk and Rene van Rijsbergen, and a number of qualifiers including Steven McGuinness from the UK.
Apparently there'll be some live streaming, not sure on what website though ...
Edit ... a list of previous winners ...
2004/05 : Bjorn Haneveer (beat Lennon Starkey)
2005/06 : Bjorn Haneveer (beat Michael Holt)
2006/07 : Michael Wild (beat Mark King)
2007/08 : Michael Holt (beat Barry Pinches)
2008/09 : Stuart Bingham (beat Joe Swail)
2009/10 : Bjorn Haneveer (beat Matthew Couch)
2010/11 : Barry Pinches (beat Bjorn Haneveer)
This weekend counts as 2010/11 as the event started with qualifiers in December ...
edit (again) - last line should read 2011/12 - getting just as confused with my work today too ...

Witz! That's not you being cynical is it?
Think they both could have predicted they wouldn't make Saturday given how their season has gone ... although Pinches would have had an early qualifying match on Saturday, and he's down for a late one in the Netherlands ... still, don't think he'd have made it.

Steven McGuinness won his opening match this morning, beating Jeroen van Driel 3-1
Presumably he's up against one of the seeds next, but I haven't seen a drawsheet.

McGuinness plays Brecel!
The only other non-seed I recognise the name of is Joris Maas, who plays Michael Wild. Not too sure why Maas wasn't a seed - he made the last 32 of the EBSA European Championship last year (lost 4-3 to Patrick Einsle).
Barry Pinches plays Claudio Mercurio of Belgium, Bjorn Haneveer plays another Belgian, Jurgen van Roy, Lee Richardson plays dutchman Maikel van Lier.

I remember Lee Richardson, used to be a good player him. I don't know how he plays now?
What about Chris Scanlon do you know Roy? He used to live in Amsterdam but please bear in mind I'm talking 20 years ago. That boy could play too. Is he still hitting them do you know?

No idea re Scanlon, beyond remembering him from late 90's ...
Richardson though, think he's playing local snooker leagues in Oxfordshire, hitting some good breaks, he tried a PTC this year.
Last result from the last 32,
Jerom Meeus (NTL)
Bart Noeth (BEL) 3-4
