Have been trying to find the results for today's matches, I know that Ben Harrison lost 8-4 as he said so on Twitter but otherwise I'm not sure.

All updates welcome!

Wow some of the names on there

Of all of those the one I'd love to see most would be Pat Houlihan 11-3 John Spencer in 1965. That must've been around Houlihan's peak when Joe Davis wouldn't let him turn pro.

Nice touch Mark.

The 1992 final interested me because I thought Stephen Lee beat Ronnie along the way. Do you know? Was it the Southern Final he beat him in? I'm not sure, because a buddy of mine played Eddie Barker in Aldershot a couple of years later.
Great list mate. One of the best I've seen in a while.

Thanks John,

Hello MY name is Quinton Cade i am 20 years old and have now been playing snooker for around 13 years i first picked up a cue at the age of 7 in my middle after school club, i just got down on to the table and fell in love with the game because i seemed to pick up on it very fast, i just got down and potted everything i could and i was the best pool player in the whole of middle school i was the champion of pool back then, i then found a snooker hall known as Canary Cue club, i played there every day after school and i practiced about 4 hours a day 7 days a week, so i would always arrive home by 7 at least, at the age of 10 i started coming into a lot of stride and was playing a lot, but i have to be honest here, i had to take time out to concentrate on high school and college so snooker was just a hobby then, ever since i finished college i now play snooker every single day of the week for 4 hours or more and its all very constructive play, i knocked a 147 in practice at the start of this year and i am now fluent in everything i do i have finally nurtured my natural ability i have been praised for over the years, i would love to become a champion one day, and i have the belief i can do this i never stop until i reach my goals im immacuately calm under pressure and i have a good temperament always playing to please not only myself but always give a good show too its not very easy to find a tournament as my finance is not what i would like it to be so my talents are going to waste atm =(, however for those who have belief in ME follow me on twitter @mrcade147, and add me on facebook to show me your support and i will play to win for YOU the country of britain.

Many Kind Regards

So are you an EASB member? If not membership is 30 pounds (http://www.englishsnooker.com), and another 25 gets you into the national under 21 championship if you're still under 21 by 31st December. Entries close 19th December, EASB says "This championship will be played on a knockout basis. Regional qualifiers will be played over the best of seven frames, with sixteen players qualifying to the final stages. The last 16 and quarter finals will be played over the best of seven frames, semi-finals best of nine and final over the best of fifteen frames."

Re: English National Championships

Postby MrCade147

could you guys shed some light on this, i understand how hard it iis to be a snooker player bcuz of all the competitive ness, should i just give up and play snooker for fun as many people r telling me im never going to be good enough :/ but i always believe i never doubt , if i achieve just one trophy in my life, Pro tour or not, i will be happy.

Re: English National Championships

Ignore the clown, the 147 in his profile is bull, he doesn't even play the game. Don't get your hopes up in what you can achieve in terms of the professional game but enjoy your snooker and keep plugging away and definitely enter competitions. You may get beat up the first couple of times you enter, but it hardens you for the future and makes you a better player and before you know it you'll be beating those players who got the better of you before and you'll become more aware of higher level events if you start to perform in your local competitions and catch the eye of someone who can help you.
