Major major match between Stevens - Lee...Whoever wins gets into top-16 and is probably seeded for UK...

Stevens usually beats Lee...I think he has the edge in H2H. Lee on the other hand is on top form as we saw him in PTC.

My prediction? Best cue action of the game to win in a decider...

Stephen Hendry first reached the top 16 in 1988 its the longest unbroken Stint as a Top 16 player Losing this afternoon is not a option if he wants that to continue.

Yes, people often talk about Hendry turning pro in 1985, but given most tournaments back then were invitational his first full season was not until 1987.

in Hendrys first season he only played in 6 Rankers and the Doubles was open to him.

Hendrys first full season was in 85 then <ok>

if 6 rankers wasnt a full season for him, then the last decade under Walker doesnt count.

unless of course it means Trump got into top 16 on his 1st full season on tour :john:

6 rankers wasn't even a third of the tour back then.

Compare that to Higgins/Williams and O'Sullivan who had more rankers to play in plus a ton more matches through all the qualifiers.

Its suprising how many matches you see go 3-0 then before the interval the other player manages to win the frame to go 3-1 at the interval. Not just this week or today, but in so many best of 9 tournaments it happens. Must be psychological.

That's the first time he has lost in the first round to a player that is not Martin Gould in over two years.

I bet he is wishing he retired now. Will he get a wildcard to the Masters is the question? :chin:
