Oh my gosh...this is ...pure bliss...I love Barry Hearn and love snooker. Amazing, and I wont miss a minute of the action.

What's the worst that can happen? There's a lot of snooker on, for once. I don't suppose anybody other then the hardcore faithful are going to be watching the Australian Open anyway. And I bet if I did a poll now, only about 50% of us would be watching the Wuxi Classic. The people that would be getting sick of it, probably aint even going to know a lot of the snooker is on. Let alone get bored of watching it.

The World Cup could end up being really good, or really naff, but I am looking forward to snooker watching this month.

Actually, you do make a good point. The bucking thing is on for most of July;

Oh well. At least I was able to look forward to snooker being on the telly for a while. rofl What time are they usually doing their biking, Boss? Will the Australian Open games at 4:30am/10:30am be disrupted, do you think?

Here is the TDF Eurosport schedule. (For what it's worth, Eurosport never stick to schedule.) We'll be alright, if they stick all the snooker on Eurosport 2, as they seem to be with the Wuxi Classic. Are there any other sports on Eurosport in July that I don't know about Sonny? Is there a women's tennis tournament, or some beach volleyball going on? :-(

What's Eurosport player like? I've never actually used it.

With my shitty internet connection at home, I still wouldn't get to watch it.

I'm seriously tempted to book Thursday and Friday off, so I can watch the Wuxi Classic, but I have a nagging feeling that I should keep my Annual Leave saved, being that I am wanting the UK Championship, The Masters and two days round my birthday off as well.

But I might just bite the bullet and do it. I hate working when there's snooker on.

Actually, no I won't. Sonny's right, if I take it off there'll just be biking on instead of snooker. :grrr:

Snooker.

F*ck sake man, taking days off your annual leave to watch the bleeding Wuxi Classic is a new low, theres liking snooker then theres taking it to sad extremes <doh>

I think I've decided against it. It was only because it was a short tournament, I could have two days off and watch the whole thing. :D

But I'm saving it for later in the year when the bigger tournaments are on.

:phew: u saw sense then......... :dizzy:

do u ever actually take days off work for anything other than watching snooker by the way?

fair enough if your actually going to the snooker or the odd day here and there (personally i would invoke the sickie option ;-) for these ) but it just seems a waste of your annual leave using it all, and most of the time just sitting on yer bottom watching snooker. <doh>

Yeah, I know. I'm not buying tickets to it on principle. But, you know what it's like. You'll end up watching it anyway. Could be worse, best of fives. rofl

Yes, but not very often. The odd hangover day, if I've been out on a weeknight, I tend to book the next day off. I got dragged off by my mates to foreign holidays a few times, but tend not to like them for the most part. Even the boozy ones, I don't enjoy much. I hate nightclubbing, and can get drunk in the pubs at home. I don't feel the need for a change of scenery, I like where I live. Foreign holidays just aren't my thing.

When it comes to snooker, I tend to have the time off more and more for it. Always have The Masters off, as I can commute to London to watch matches and can watch the rest of time I can spend watching it with my friends and in the pub. (I have friends that are snooker fans that are parents, so I can watch it during the day with them). The more I thought about it, the more I enjoy them even if I'm not travelling to matches. Take the UK Championships, if I have that off. I'll spend four or fives days of it round my mates house, with a few cans in my hand. My mum will come up one morning and buy me a fried breakfast, then will come and watch a bit with me. I'll spend at least one of the afternoons sitting in front of the big screen in my local pub watch it, I'll get takeaways in. I'll go round and see my whole family one day and watch it, get them to cook for me. If I get time, which isn't always, I'll have an alone sofa slob day with a case of lager and some crisps. rofl rofl rofl rofl

Seriously, I don't understand why people go on foreign holidays, unless they live in a field or something and there's nothing to do where they live.

Re: Busy July for snooker!

See, if I booked the Wuxi Classic off, then there was Tour De France on all day, I'd regret it. But then if I came to work and missed some quality best of nine action, I'd regret it. :chin:

No. I literally have no capacity to tape, other then the old VCR in my cupboard. rofl I will probably get mates to tape both days for me, and watch it round their house. Then get up early for Saturday and Sundays play, should the bikes not get in the way.

That sucks, don't know what I'd do without my freeview+, although it's being a pain in the bottom today, has recorded none of the afternoon's tennis, if the current match goes all the way I'd like a copy of it. I doubt the bikes will be a problem looking at the tvlistings, snooker on 2, bikes on 1.

That's what I'm hoping.

I haven't even realised there was biking, until Sonny explained it was on. Sonny. :hatoff:
