It's going to take longer then that for me to decide which games to watch. I'll probably be thinking about the worlds every second from now to start anyway.

Over the weekend though, I notice Mark Williams plays to a finish. And Shaun Murphy. I like seeing full games, so I may shock the Island, and neglect the Robertson vs Trump match, in aid of watching three full matches. I don't much fancy the Jamie Cope match though, so I might come up with alternative arrangements. Ask me tomorrow, and I'll tell you I'll be watching a different set of matches.

that thread is for quick reference of the draw and its locked so there wont be any coments pushing the main page to the end of abyss lol

when the tournament starts ill be updating that thread with session scores as they come in and not on the discussion threads as ive done with other tournaments.

I'm a bit anally retentive when it comes to watching full matches in these two session game tournaments. I try and watch as many full games as possible, to the extent of choosing the less attractive looking session on any given time, if I know I'll be at work for the end of the other match. So, given that logic, the opening weekend looks like this for me....

Day 1
10pm
Jamie Cope v Andrew Pagett (1st seesion)
2.30pm
Mark Williams v Ryan Day (1st Session)
7pm
Shaun Murphy v Marcus Campbell (1st Session)

Day 2
10am
Jamie Cope v Andrew Pagett (2nd Session Played to a finish)
2.30pm
Shaun Murphy v Marcus Campbell (2nd Session Played to a finish)
7pm
Mark Williams v Ryan Day (2nd Session Played to a Finish)

It would mean ignoring Snooker Island endorsed World Champions match. And avoiding the Ding Junhui opening session, and Hendry vs Perry. Two matches I like the look of. At the same time I'd love to be able to watch the full Mark Williams vs Ryan Day match. I'm a fan of the mighty Smurphs play, as long as I don't have to watch an interview with am afterwards. I wouldn't turn my nose up against Jamie Cope vs Andrew Pagett either.

I haven't yet decided though, my mind will probably change every half hour, because for the first time in years, I haven't made my decision already on who to watch the first day.

I tried to get a Hendry first round match at The Crucible one year, and they send me the second session of the Hendry game, and the first session of Dott, as Hendry had sold out the first session.

After the qualifiers were announced, I was informed Dott played Barry Hawkins and Hendry played Mark Williams. I was like; "Hell no!" I ended up buying a ticket for the first session of Hendry on some second hand ticket website, for about five times the value. I just wasted the Dott tickets. <laugh>

That Dott match was one of the most high quality first round matches I've ever seen.
