The confusing questions are the 1982 and 2004 questions.

1982: Yes, the top 3 seeds were beaten, but maybe you just want the answer to be the top 2 seeds.

2004: Hann wanted to fight Hicks, but King challenged Hann to a fight also.

If it either of these questions then it makes the answers ambiguous.

I cannot think of any other answers, so yes, I give up.

Well a lot of the early matches used to change around with the scheduling, such as best of 25s playing the nine frame session in the evening as in 8,9,8. Its like with the final this year, they play 8 frames on Sunday and Monday afternoon, and nine on Sunday night.

Well in 1980 2 first round matches were played over 3 sessions (6,6,7) and in one of them John Virgo won 10-2 over Meadowcroft, so he did win with a session to spare.
