Stephen Lee was arrested on Thursday as part of a two-year investigation into match-fixing.

A police spokesman confirmed: ‘A 35-year-old man from Wiltshire has this morning been arrested on suspicion of cheating. This follows a joint operation where West
Midlands Police have assisted the Gambling Commission, following their concerns about suspicious betting patterns.’

Lee is ranked 25th in the world, after slipping from fifth place. The father of four from Trowbridge is no stranger to controversy after testing positive for cannabis in 2000.

So, we've had Ebdon-Liang, Maguire-Burnett, and now Stephen Lee.

Is this a case of no smoke without fire, or is it a case of people being over cautious and jumping on the match fixing "band-wagon" now the rumour is out there?

Since when was "cheating" in pro sport an arrestable crime? Something not quite right about all this

You have to understand that GJ is from Australia so 33miles is just around the corner to them. I once asked how far the next village was in the Northern Territory and got the odd answer of "aahh its about a six pack mate". So you see, they dont talk in miles but in beer drinking terms rofl
