Juan Rosales - first pro from South America

Postby MarcoStaiano

I was fascinated few years ago to find out that actually the first official professional representing a South American country (Chile, specifically) was a player called Juan Rosales.

He spent few years on the Tour during the Blackpool days (from 1995 to 1997) - with few victories but no notable results.

Today, looking through a 1997's Snooker Scene mag, I found again the name in a local competition, where no details where added, but it's stated that he resided in Peckham.

I contacted the Chilean Billiards Federation and the PABSA, where it seems nobody ever heard the name.

Users here probably found out how much I love obscure facts and players - maybe somebody passing by will be able to help me in find out more!
