Unless we see a repeat of 2022 with MJW making a big comeback, I think Trump might run away with this match now. MJW couldn't take advantage of a poor Trump, if Judd starts to play better he probably runs away with it.
As for ROS v Xintong, feel Ronnie has to cut on the missed sitters, Xintong proved he can make them prove costly.

I'm hoping Judd can improve. He can't play like that again and expect to get away with it but I am expecting him to improve and Williams as well.

As much as that’s a fair summary, I get the feeling both matches could be completely unpredictable. All four players are showing glimpses of something like winning form, while also looking hopelessly out of shape.

I want a Willo vs ROS final, and ROS winning in a decider by making a 147.

I really hope Ronnie can land an 8th title. With the amount of talent and ability he has, he should really be on 10 or 11 titles by now.

That would easily be the greatest moment in snooker history, perhaps all of sports history, if it happened.

He almost certainly would have been, had his father not killed someone and gone to prison for it. That obviously messed up Ronnie's life and career.

I agree. 7 is way too low for someone of his ability. Still the biggest underachiever imo, even more than Jimmy.

Obviously 8 is the dream target now, and maybe what still motivated him, but we also should be content with what he's got because at one point it really seemed he would be stuck forever on 5.
Look at Higgins... there was talk in 2011 he would tie or break Hendry's 7 but he got stuck on 4.

I was happy when he got to 6 if I'm honest, given how difficult this tournament is and the issues he's had to deal with.
7 was the dream.
8 would be the icing.

If he did get his 8th he’d be able to play his last few seasons completely devoid of the performance anxiety that’s currently crippling his game. It could make a huge difference. The expectation is weighing him down massively. He knows he might not get another chance.

Ronnie fans suddenly noticing that a semi-finalist who has win it seven times before might have a chance of winning it.
