Maguire 3 - Brecel 1.
Maguire had couple of chances early on, broke down after couple of pots. Brecel then managed to put 50 on the board but messed up and wasn't on anything. Maguire then potted a long red and cleared.

If Maguire is On Fire, Brecel is erm... On Fecel.
Is that another way of saying he’s playing a bit poo?

Impressed with Maguire's composure today so far. Leads 4-1 and deserves it. Takes on pots but makes snookers if needed. Usually he plays overly aggressive after a bad positional play.

I thought he’d have a decent week. Today he seems to have lost interest. Fecelery.

I Don't know why people are surprised by Luca Form this season, this is how Luca has always been he plays rubbish and then all of a sudden he has a purple patch.
He won the China Championship in 2017 that elevated him in to the top 16 then in 2020/2021 he was down in to the 40s that is how Luca will be.

Luca lays the snack down and decides to blast open a pack of reds and leaves Maguire a great chance to win. Can we hold his nerve?

Stephen Maguire 5 v Luca Brecel 1.
Composed Maguire wins and Brecel can head home. Maguire played well and Brecel continued his worry free playing style.
I wonder if someone kept track whether there was more "lays the snack down" comments or referee having to reprimand the crowd moments during this match?

What's the happy hap?
There were 2 wins for Maguire on 6 reds. I agree with Eurosport on this one.

He won’t do that well there either. I agree with Wild. As form goes, Luca’s always been a patchwork quilt.
