I guess only time will tell.

Well, yes.

I am going back to listen to Emily Frazer on the Snooker Scene podcast as she talked about it after last year's event.

She said the feedback from the players was positive, but she wasn't completely happy with how they looked as it was a 'last-minute decision'

It sounds like they will try and do better quality ones this year.

She needs to explain whether there's going to be another bucking dance-cam.

I'd have probably gone this year, if they didn't have that poxy thing last year.

Shaun Murphy at risk of losing his ever-present status at the Champion of Champions (since its relaunch).

For Mark Williams on the other hand this would only be his 3rd participation - which at least would enable him to catch up with Marco Fu, Martin Gould and Yan Bingtao, and keep pace with Joe Perry.

That means Anthony McGill and Mark Williams is out But Mark will still be 1st reserve.

Mark Williams has only played in it twice Before 2018 and 2021 in 10 years

Final spot will be taken up by Mark Allen for his 8th appearance or Zhou Youlong who played in it in 2015

It's back, but it's for the players only. It gives the player not at the table something to do.

Yep he didn't play in it in 2015, he missed the first half of the 2015-2016 season and then returned for the 2nd half of it and won the Masters and Welsh Open.
The 2015 Champion of champions final was in fact the first Snooker match I ever attended.
