Don't be silly. Jack played well, it's going to be a tough match.
My only worry is he put everything into that match and has nothing left, sounded like that in his interview, hopefully he recovers and can give his all in the Higgins match.

Yes this interview doesnt inspire me. Even if he plays well on Wednesday, the damage could be done tomorrow due to being tired, maybe 6-2 down or worse.

The way Robertson played in that last frame I doubt if he would have beaten Higgins.

Pinkball was convinced Robbo wouldn't win it this year. I actually did genuinely believe this would be his year. It's wide open now.

Amazing win for Jack. Could be huge for his career. Can he follow it up?

The John v Jack match is one of those with back to back sessions on Wednesday. I remember John saying how he never liked those, so I doubt tomorrow's session will have much bearing.

The good news is his interview after the first round wasn’t inspiring either.

Higgins and Jack the unlucky ones this year.
Good thing Higgins is playing a fast player, so the 2nd session won't finish much later than 5pm.

Jack is a young man and will only play one session tomorrow so should be able to recover. 4:4 would be a good result.

this is false btw. last i checked about three quarters of official maximums came in victories for the player making it.
I meant in the WSC. I could be wrong, I haven't checked the stats, I just remember someone saying it a few years back.
you are wrong.
higgins against maflin, o'sullivan against fu, and hendry against murphy were the only defeats believe.
rest were victories (eight), and one tbc.
three (hendry, o;sullivan, and carter) i think even went on to the final in the same years. - edit - four, white as well.
doubt included qualifiers would change anything - liang and dott at least were in victories.
to confirm neil robertson is the fourth player to make a crucible maximum and lose the match in which it was made.

Even 5-3 down wouldn't be that bad.
Anything worse then yeah he probably not going to win.

Does Neil get the "best player never to win a 2nd world championship" label? I guess Judd might be a contender but Neil edges him imo

Based on one frame? Did you not see the other frames or the English Open final or the TC final? But each tournament and match is different, some you win, some you lose.

But I must say Judd is more likely to.

Yeah, was actually just talking about that with my missus. Jimmy best player never to win WC (obvs). Robbo currently best player to not win a 2nd WC, Judd not far behind but has a few more years than Robbo to avoid that label.

Definitely. He’s younger and I think mentally stronger at the Crucible.
