They've stopped adding anything.
They seem to work in qualifying but not when we get to the main event.
Ronnie kills the watache threads. Thanks Ronnie
I think the fun has just run out.

The problem is it doesn’t work if it changes every match.
You really need someone to win a couple of matches to make the thread worthwhile.

And there’s the problem; the watache-thread-curse
It’s LITERALLY Hobson’s Choice

Well it didn't really help picking Marco Fu for the first round just because you like Marco Fu. You kinda made the decision before you'd even seen the draw.
You could at least have looked to see what might be interesting as things progressed.
Still might not have helped, but imagine if you'd picked the route to Maguire... probably more interesting?

Ah, but then History takes a different turn; the Watache-Thread-Curse does for Maguire and he doesn’t get a run in the tourney and we end up with Mark Joyce or one of the other numpties and then where are we?
As I said, it’s HOBSON’S CHOICE, all over again

At least people can't whine now that we never had a Ronnie O'Sullivan Watch Thread.

Would be an appropriate name on which it retired.
Especially following such a DECLINE!
