Allen is a potential banana skin but Murphy or Xintong wouldnt cause too much problem for him in the qfs.
So if he reaches the one table set up its Higgins or Robertson potentially. There's not much else there for him really.
Whereas the top half, Selby could easily trip up in the first round but Bingtao is a dangerous l16 opponent, then potentially Williams, kyren, ding or trump.
I think No 1 seed has a lot trickier path than no 2 seed.
Having said that it is very rare that the top 8 seeds get to the qfs or the top 4 seeds get to sfs. There are always shocks and upsets.
Trying to predict how the draw for any of the players will pan out is very difficult.
I agree that Allen is the biggest threat to Ronnie before the semis. With Selby (although we cant say how good or bad he will be feeling out there mentally yet) there are a few banana skins.
For me Robertson has the best draw. First two rounds are absolutely ideal. Higgins could pose a threat in the quarters but Robertson beat him twice in big finals this season. If Robertson doesnt take advantage from this draw he never will.
Xintong?
Xintong has never played 3 session Matches he is a unknown at this level really

Xintong?
Xintong still needs time imo to do real damage at the Crucible. He also plays the type of game which would suit Ronnie a lot. I would make Ronnie a solid favourite in a possible meeting in the quarters.

I don’t see Xintong winning more than one match at this year’s WC. The jump will be too big, I think.
Having said that, I didn’t see him winning the UK either. In fact I didn’t see half the things that happened this season.

I think Zhao has gone a long way to proving his credentials in the longer format just recently. But the Crucible can do strange things to a player.
For me he’s as likely to crash out early as he is waft through the first few rounds like it’s nothing at all. Angles will be doing some talking about his lazy rhythm. That’ll be one of the things that carries him through if he does have a good run.

Amended it to the way I like it, Judder.
viewtopic.php?f=702&t=11939Hope you don't mind. Your list was incredibly helpful. Made it q lot quicker for me to do, and helped me check that I hadn't made any mostakes.

I used Judder's list. It was very helpful.
But I wanted one that had the match on Table 1 listed first, and Table 2 listed second. It helps me visualise it.
Or did he add a second list for that?
Sorry if you did, Judder.

Was just a joke about how many mistakes you made in your post about Judders helping you not make mistakes.

Think that I might stick mostly on Table 2 for the first round.
Might have to briefly foray into Mark Williams vs Michael White.

Its a bad excuse about being cramped and not enough room if you look at his performances in that cramp space for the first 2 rounds hes flying then someone says BOO and he folds like a cheap tent every single time.
He Needs a Steve Peters with him to get over the mental barrier he has at the Crucible

More's the pity, that was a really tasty list which matched a lot of interesting draws.

I was talking about the first round. Gilbert is a tougher draw than Jones.

That's what I was wondering. Are they both going to be commentating on this World Championship?
I hope so. I'm not that fussed about Dennis Taylor, but I like Virgo.

Neil Robertson looks favourite to me and the bookies agree. Neil knows how to take advantage of a mild draw and he has one here.
Neil has nothing really before the quarters but he could get unstuck against Higgins.
If his problem is not enough space at the crucible then getting to the one table set up will be the tricky bit for him.Higgins obviously has to get past Un- Nooh and Brecel first though.
Yeah, not enough space to strut around like a peacock. That has always been a big issue for him.
