Ah, yes. He is a BO5 specialist <doh>

I don't understand why ITV can't give people an option to watch table 2 online, surely it can't be that difficult for them to sort it out.

They have the ITV Hub, like BBC has the I-Player so they could do it.

One of the reasons I don't really want the majors to go to ITV4.

Why is that? :chin:

I was looking forward to an afternoon session

I honestly have no idea why they do that for. This is what my ideal schedule would be for the Players championship:

Round 1- Played Monday and Tuesday- 2 matches in the afternoon and evenings both days.
Quarter finals- Played on Wednesday and Thursday, 1 match in the afternoon and evening.
Semi finals- Friday afternoon and evening and 2nd semi final played Saturday afternoon and evening (Best of 17)
Final- Sunday (Best of 19)

So do I. The more snooker the better for me. I like three sessions per day.

But it's lucky for me today that I won't be missing anything. I don't have any schoolwork this afternoon, so I have agreed to go on a 'mushroom hunt' with my MMA instructor, his wife, and a few other people. We will be trying to find 'Velvet Shank' mushrooms. I've never been before. So, who knows? It might be OK. :-)

Your schedule sounds a lot better than ITV's schedule, Judders. <ok>

They should put you in charge, mate. :-)

Yeah. I don't know why ITV insist on that.

They must just not want to show it on Monday afternoons for whatever reason. It's not like it's clashing with other sports.

I guess maybe it's in case there's been a tournament on the Sunday, it gives players a chance to get from one venue to the next. But no other channels seem to worry about that.

It's funny how with the ITV events, I can look at old finals and either not remember them happening at all, or realise if I do, I would've had trouble remembering which ITV event it happened at.

ITV tournaments do feel like they run into one sometimes.

An on-form Judd versus an on-form Zhao would be a dream final for me. <ok>

(I've gone off Yan a bit after that 9-0 nonsense. ) :|

I don’t mind the tournament starting on a Monday evening. Honestly I prefer that to the BBC style of putting big names on in the afternoon with no evening coverage. It’s just a shame it means matches are buried on an un-televised table.

Pity the ITV tournaments don't get on Eurosport as well, like the BBC ones do.

The second matches might get on Discovery+ then if nothing else.

I guess that would mean that people like Foulds, McManus, Hendon etc would have to pick a channel to work for though.

So it seems Eurosport aren't broadcasting this year's event, seems so due to the Winter Olympics.

Well, there's always the ES Player and indeed ITV4.

He'd be sacked straight away as he's forgotten the reason for the odd scheduling is that itv4 are contractually obliged to show horse racing on Saturday afternoons, so if you schedule snooker for then it won't be televised, even more of an issue when they seem reluctant to put table 2 on the hub or move the snooker to one of their other channels on Saturday afternoons

Re: Cazoo Players Championship Last 16 !!

Postby Juddernaut88

No I am already aware of the horse racing issue thank you. There are 3 other channels on ITV though so there is no reason why Snooker can't be on one of them. I have also checked the schedule for this Saturday afternoon on ITV4 and horse racing isn't currently showing on that channel, it is on the normal ITV1 channel though.

I agree with this. At least teh BBC make there 3 tournaments feel different. ITV is like McDonalds you get served a nice burger but a burger is a burger.
