Said this before but you can judge Higgins’ confidence by his doubles.

Even if he’s not playing well, if the doubles are going in he’s feeling good in himself. Last few seasons his doubles were way off compared to usual.

In the end, Higgins just played his own game and got on with it. I think players are getting sucked in to playing the player with Yan. And that makes it difficult.

Having said that, I remember a few years ago I was standing outside the train station and a big group of lads all in their 30’s with their phones out searching for something. I asked the disinterested one at the back what was happening and he said they’re playing Pokémon Go. We both raised our eyebrows at the exact same time.
