I did like Peter Lines's comment yesterday "it comes to something when you're not even the top ranked player in your own house!" He's good value in commentary is Peter.

It’s about time Oliver got himself closer to top 16. Plenty of talent and you’d think he’d have decent tactical skills being in the situation he is. Just hasn’t had that big breakthrough yet.

Big fan of Oliver, not sure why he's not pushing top 16,seems natural, confident just consistency I suppose. One good result might do it.

I was very impressed a few seasons back, thought he’d have won a ranker by now. Maybe this year?

I guess the issue is that if there's lot of people who you think have the ability to be in the top-16, not all of them will be. If there's 40 people on tour you see as "possible top-16ers", the maths just don't work.

Yeah, strength in depth and all that. If you look at 16-32 there are a few players that get labelled with that “he’s definitely a top 16 player” thing. Gilbert, Carter, Perry etc.
But I suppose the rankings don’t lie.

For once, Judd has the best haircut of the match.

1-0 to Trump. Playing pretty well, a bit loose, but looks confident.

Shame Judd made some errors in this frame and Jimmy Robertson gets a frame back.

Disappointing result from Judd though drawing after going 2-0 up, he missed 2 sitters in the 4th frame and had a possible chance to steal the 3rd frame as well.

I turned over to Cricket after Judds match but England haven't started off well so I may switch over to the snooker again soon.

3-0 Carrington. Tom Ford would be a much better player without that woe is me mentality.

The one time I wanted Trump to win. I had my annual bet on him to keep my account active.

Judd wins 3-0
hoping Carrington fails to beat Jimmy Robertson as that would then mean Judd would need a point against Tom Ford to win the group.

All over for Judd 3-0 defeat :( disappointing. Judd only needed a draw as well with no pressure on him and that's him out.
