Nah.

Bingham > Selt

Although Selt has had two ranking semis, one each in the past two seasons, they were in the Riga and Gibraltar, which, to my out-of-date-terminology mind are minor-ranking tournaments.

Thanks

Bingham v Jones in the 2nd round will be a very interesting match-up.

Ball-run Bingham has also got the luck of the draw this year, with Jones, Maguire and Ding in his immediate quarter, all four of whom are what you'd describe as shaky ground players this year.

It wouldn't take too many upsets in other quarters for Bingham to ball-run his way to the final & you could eat crow out of me for years.

What makes it even worse for him is he's playing the nicest guy in snooker, who's just extremely quietly and nicely going about his business <laugh>

Hawkins always goes quiet and nice about his business every tournament to be fair.

Has anyone ever seen Hawkins be in any way upset? Not just a frown, but, like, physical anger reaction?

He's the nicest fella you could ever hope to meet.

He would not, in all probability, lose to me.

After Fernandez, I take nothing for granted.

I would throw the match in sympathy for the poor lad
