3 frames ahead after that rubbish show is good. No guarantee he'll play better tonight so at least he can afford a bad start now.

I'd have taken a 5-4 lead, don't know how he managed that 6-3 lead but all good.

6:3 always the ideal result for the seeds, anything more is always a bonus. I dont think this evening the quality will be much better but that 3 frame gap should be enough for Ronnie to cross the finishing line comfortably.

Nice to see Hazel back, not great quality from Ronnie today, he'll do enough to get over the line this evening

And it is 4-4 to both on the other table after an intriguing opening session. Great stuff!

Another double stint as MC/commentator for Rob then, does that mean no JV this year then?

JV is on tonight apparently
Good rubbish start for Ronnie - he’s used up zero reserves and happened across a 6-3 lead. No point doing a Robbo and playing all your best snooker in the opening rounds.

Strange that they’ve added Walker and Perry then. Presumably they’ve also got Ken and Angles? Seems a lot.
Maybe Parrott and Davis will actually stay as pundits and not do any commentary.

Liang v Robbo should be a good one, I think it will be closer than last year.

I've always thought that entrance music was a bit naff, but bucking hell. Watching them without it felt weird. I must just be so used to it.
