I like him, but him and Hamilton speak a bit too much.
Was Ebdon better back when he commentated?

Yeah. Unfortunately, I only had Gilbert winning 10-7 in the prediction contest. I overestimated Wakelin.

I’m hoping we get to watch a better standard this evening. A non-Pythagorus Robbo win followed by a nervy finish to the Mags match will do me.

Not a fan of Perry either. He might make for a top-end ASMR voice on Youtube, but for snooker commentary he's very one note and droney IMO.

With Maguire involved, you just know this will end 10-9.

Ah okay. This could've been this years version of the "Gary Wilson is a Nazi" running joke, if only he could've had a longer run in the tournament.

These two look like they might be on for a 2am record-type finish if their second session continues in this vein.
Will be ok for those suffering from insomnia.

Shame they seem to have an agenda against non former playing commentators, when we have to endure the likes of Perry instead

I dunno, Hendry and Parrott are perfect for this match. Both are the type of guys who'll really say it when the players are playing crap. They really shine as a sort of Statler and Waldorf for this kind of snooker.
Hendry I like in most matches, but Parrott is often too negative for me, but ideal here.
I never got used to Farrar, he seemed to be even more generic random catchphrase than most of the people who already have a reputation for that.
