4 snookers needed for Judd :( no chance, disappointing performance from him. Let's just hope he can respond next week in the players championship.

First since 2019, assuming he doesn’t get what, four snookers?

Combination of both, any half difficult pot Judd missed, and it looked impossible for him to score heavily. Vafaei did play well after he levelled it at 2-2.

What will Judd blame his loss on if he does go on to lose? His opponent being lucky? The table?

The minute they started talking about Judd's incredible streak of Best of 7s, he loses a match.
Well played Vafaei.

I suppose there’s more at stake in the near future. He can afford a slight dip in form now if it means he’s going to be playing better stuff at the end of the season.

Yeah, he's saving himself for his favourite event of the year, the Gibraltar Open.

Well played Vafaei.
Also the first time this season he’s failed to reach the QFs.
In fairness, the Welsh is a pretty big tournament, fourth longest-running on the tour with a great history. No surprise Judd’s record in it isn’t great.
(Just kidding Judders)

Did he? I’m sure they were saying he hadn’t lost one since 2019. Probably misremembered.

It's the ever present threat of playing Stephen Hendry.
