I can understand people's lack of enthusiasm for this event.
In its favour, it's actually helpful for ranking the players lower down the rankings. Playing more frames than they usually would, against a range of players, including some in the same ranking bracket as themselves.
Beats losing 4-3 to Ronnie in the first round and getting 0.

Maybe if it was properly televised, I'd watch a bit.
Maybe not though.

I thought we'd said it weren't.
I'd only be watching it if it was on FreeSports anyway.

Joe Perry and Xiao Guodong through to round 2 from day 1. Matthew Stevens the most notable casualty.
Kyren Wilson and Sunny Akani through from day 2.
4 Chinese players knocked out, including Pang Junxu, who had the same number of points and same frame difference as Akani, but lost the match he had with him and so misses out.

His behaviour kind of makes sense now.
He was doing a Ronnie earlier and playing on for a million snookers. He's also rushing around, playing kamikaze snooker and mostly missing. Looks like he'd much rather be somewhere else.
That all said though, if he is suffering from depression, I'd like to wish him well and hope that he gets better soon.

I've not watched any of it, so it would be unfair to comment.
