Re: Betfred Masters Quarter Final: Stephen Maguire v Yan Bin

Lewis on here always says we never see the full extent of Yan’s attacking game when he’s under the big lights. I think we saw a flash of it today.

If he’s genuinely got an aggressive break building game in combination with that tactical ability, he’s going to be very successful eventually. Watch out Trump.

His personal highest break

Didn't he get a 142 against Doherty in the 2015 World Cup, aged 15?

Perhaps that doesn't count as a professional match.

It didn't.

His highest was 138 at the 2018 China Open.

Well, yep,i,m disappointed, but at the same time pleased for Yan,losing 6-5 is always horrible.

A tremendous *141* from Yan to win the frame n match.

Mags will be stewing missing the easy peasy red to the middle,in the 8th frame i think it was,he let Yan off the hook.should of went 5-3 up,instead it goin to 4-4.

Had a chance in that decider, was,nt an easy long un,but it was a chance.

Well done Yan. <ok>

Ah,i stand corrected,it was 4-2 then, when Mags missed that easy red to the middle.

I don't get it either. He looks the real deal. A Ray Reardon/Steve Davis type.

I think the penny has finally dropped with Neal Foulds.

Tactically, he's as good as anyone I've seen at his age. Scary stuff.
