Goldstein to Judd: “you know there’s no million pound bonus this year right?”
Ronnie: “Are you serious? What a liberty!”

Not very classy from Eurosport talking about Ronnies world title just after Judd has won a tournament.
Not sure about that.

5th by my count.
According to wiki this is indeed his tenth final win in a row
Ridiculous really
?
english open, gibraltar open, players champ, german masters, ni open = 5.
before that was the champion of champions defeat.

It’s the 10th consecutive raking final win, not overall finals.

Yeah true, maybe the don’t list it as a ranking final, but invitational?
Anyway now I’m at it: selby also currently on 10 consecutive final wins, and hendry’s best is 11...

he's such a better pressure player now. He lost many close matches in the past and it cost him a lot of times. In deciders his winning rate was even below 50%.
Now he wins them and makes centuries.

I agree. It’s stupid to ignore invitationals when at least three of them (Shanghai, Champion of Champions, Masters) are bigger than most rankers.

Never thought I’d say this but I actually think Judd is more granite than Selby.
This decade is going to be his I reckon.

Interesting point, depends what you consider granite I suppose.
In the one hand I wouldn’t expect Judd to win 5 rankers playing as badly as Selby was between 17/18 and 19/20. On the other hand I’d have backed Judd to make that counter clearance against Ronnie in the WC semi, and he’s consistently winning matches he shouldn’t now.

A Trump vs Selby final would be ideal now. Both on 10, one away from equalling Hendrys 11 consecutive ranking event final wins.
This definitely is a good record to have.

He's definitely going that way, we'll know for sure in 9 years! I'll remember you said it when the time comes :)

Time to focus on the UK champs now I hope there is a limited crowd there like the Worlds for the final
atmosphere for these matches are a dud I barely felt much even tho it was a decider. Everything feels flat.

Yeah that's right, those 2 tournaments plus The Masters offer big prize money, but it is what it is.
Still, of his last 11 finals, he's won 10. Not too bad huh...

That would be an amazing match.
And I think Selby's playing good enough to give Trump a good match, maybe win it, instead of some of the hidings in recent encounters.

Great final between Robbo and Trump.
Anyone know what is Judd's walk-on music at all?
