The new-and-improved, speedy Selby has an AST of 26.86 today, following on 25 and 27.6 in his previous two matches.

Higgins beats Ding 4-1. A couple of bad slices of luck going into the pack made all the difference really, Ding looked good in amongst the balls.

Not as intense as the broadcasters would have us believe, but they like beating each other. Should be a good ‘un.

Is Higgins looking markedly better than his usual form?

He wasn’t brilliant and missed a few good chances but a couple of key things that you can tell Higgins is feeling confident: he was making clearances to win frames, and his doubles are going in again. Even potted a double to a corner pocket! Definitely a dark horse for the tournament.
Ding probably looked the stronger in a lot of ways but messed up a couple of chances himself and as I say had some poor luck.

A confident Higgins is a dangerous Higgins. Definitely in with a shout then.

Judd hates Kyren more than the other way around, in my opinion.

I don’t think they have any issue with each other anymore, they did an exhibition circuit together and everything.
No doubt Foulds will be going on about their ‘needle’ if he’s commentating though

Barry was very unlucky knocking a red in off that split and it's costed him the frame :(
