Absolutely, its something rather different and any new format is welcome and worth a try - these kind of events do provide the scope for trying out new and different formats. I've had a variety of different formats over the years some have worked well and have been repeated and some haven't worked out
Apologies for not entering this, but it has been a very busy week at work.
To give some personal feedback looking at the format - I don't think the format precludes an entry by the TD - but I do think there should be either a given website where the handicaps are sourced from (when we used odds in the World Championship for a few years we used Betfred) or if there are handicaps which are picked by someone then it should be an outsider not taking part in the contest.
