The 2017 UK Championship marks the tenth anniversary of the first Snooker prediction contest held on Snooker Island and the preceding sites back to the old 606 sports forum.
Each entrant may make 30 predictions during the Prediction Contest. These can be on any 30 matches of the entrants choice - however at least one prediction must be made in each round. Should a player not predict for a round it will count as two incorrect predictions
The 128 Players competing at the event will be seeded into four groups, (1) players seeded 1-32, (2) 33-64, (3) 65-96 ,(4) 97 and below.
Match Predictions: Best of 11 Frames Correct winner 2 points, Correct score 1 point
Match Predictions: Best of 19 Frames Correct winner 4 points, Correct score 2 points
The value of the match will be the points scored multiplied by winning players seeding group
E.g. Predicting a player ranked 50th to win their match by 6-3 would have their score multiplied by two.
Entrants may nominate two players to score points for them during the championship. 1 point per match won (again multiplied by seeding group)
2 Jokers can be used during the event, and can be used on any match - players to be treat as if in seeding group four for that fixture.
-1 point for any predictions left over at the end of the UK Championship after predictions have been taken away, e.g someone who has used 27 of their 30 predictions will lose 3 points
Tie-breaker rule, correct predictions out of 30, followed by correct scores
