And by the way very good predicting so far SO, you hadn't entered a contest for a while now.
This though is the right time to do it
I always compete in the "big one"
Yeah, it's a good start but Wild will be hard to beat this year. So I picked Trump to make the final in the bottom half, it's high risk but if it pays off I'll have a good chance.

How badly does not being able to pick winner/147 maker or the first day affect me in terms of my chances, and is there any chance of a handicap to alleviate this disadvantage?

Well you're giving a 34 start to the leaders. That can be clawed back, but there's 18 points in the prediction of the finalsts. No prediction of a 147 may be a blessing in disguise if one doesn't happen as players lose points if they predict a max from a player who doesn't make one

Oh, I get you now.
If you want the 34 points Alex, Wild and SO have got then that's fine by me
but I will give everyone else 34 too.

Congratulations, you are ahead of me in the prediction contest. How much money have you made from your expertise?
I couldn't care less if I get every prediction wrong. It means nothing.

Good point. I won't bother in future. How are you going to spend your winnings? On a new 'I
Ronnie' T-Shirt?
Is the highlight of existence gloating at winning a worthless competition that involves absolutely no skill whatsoever?

Not all things are about money you know, but you seem to think they should be
It's just nice to beat everybody else in a contest, and although at times luck is involved is does require knowledge of the game, someone completly new to it wouldn't have a clue on what to predict.
And if it were about money I certainly wouldn't spend it on something like that
as you obviously haven't understood it yet, I'm not like those biased Ronnie fans, so the t-shirt would therefore say "I love Snooker"

Andre, it's funny I disagreed earlier and said Trump won't steamroll Ford and now I remember that I predicted a 10-4 Trump win

PL got it wrong there I'm sure.
