There are at least 63 points to be gained which means anyone down to Smart in 29th can mathematically catch him at the moment.

21 points is a commanding lead but not impregnable. Consider it a 10-6 overnight in a crucible final.

But almost everyone's gone with the same winner in the semis, so Wild will be at the top regardless of the result won't he?

Not for certain, as people do sometimes make cover predictions, namely going for one player in their pre tournament predictions and going for someone else now.

Anyone who can win after the Semis will be asked to PM their predictions so there is no room for anyone to go and consolidate leads by going for exactly the same as those immediately below them.

Two have both Maguire and O'Sullivan as finalists so that could be a guaranteed 18 points should that final materialize

a 24 point lead is a commanding one, especially at this stage of a championship but it can be overcome. One player has 66 possibly to come, where as Wild has 36.
