Tough match for Carter there!
Thought Bazza was reducing formats, 34 frames for a first round match is a bloody joke.

I'm not a fan of the new prediction format. Ronnie beating Ding would be a lesser upset than Bingham beating Trump but there're 10 more points on the line.

Yes i´m not a fan of it either, how can you receive 13 points for Ronnie beating Ding and just
3 for Bingham beating Judd???
It´s not right is it?? stick to the old format, it´s much better and fair to everyone.

Thanks, found it on many of the snooker programmes our late snooker historian Chris Turner had on his website...
I love the old snooker programmes, very different from the crap ones we have today.
R.I.P Chris.

I can see your point there but it is based on the provisio that the yellow seed is going to beat the green seed. The higher the gap being the more likely that the higher seed would win.
To try and avoid the first round becoming the only round that truly matters thats why I increased the basic tariff in the later rounds.
The idea is based on the old Tennis contests on 606 which a few posters, including GJ, Bourne? and Smart used to regularly participate in which matches were given points based on people involved. It's only a trial and considering that this is a shorter tournament I felt it might be the right place to try it out.

Sundaygirl, talking to me yesterday about one of my choices.
"That was a pretty stupid prediction, if you don't mind me saying."
I've still got more points though.
