Yeah I noticed I'd slipped down significantly. Ronnie nearly withdrew and I have a soft spot for Dominic but being there watching it, it was pretty obvious early on that he didn't have the game to trouble Ronnie and he's not the sort of player Ronnie crumbles against. So I knew Ronnie v Dale was my dodgy pick from the start.

The difficulty always comes in the later rounds though so I'd say anyone within 30 points still has a realistic chance of winning.

I am only a few points off of where I was last year. Would be good for NSK to win both the qualifiers and the main event.

When Fu loses from 6-3 and most people picked Gould, and Stevens loses from 9-6 and the spread was 50/50 ish, then you just know it's not going to be your tournament

No, he won't win like that again. He's coming to Punchestown next month, how I'd love to go but bloody studies in my way
Kauto has been the outstanding chaser of a golden era consisting of Denman, Imperial Commander & Long Run. I have mates who still rate Best Mate higher on the grounds that he won more Gold Cups
he wouldn't live with Kauto

Tubb, I presume you are local to Punchestown?
If so you need to get there, cos I think this will be his swan song - dont think hes got another king george or gold cup in him.

I'm not local to Punchestown at all Kauto, about 4 hours away! I'd absolutely love to go, I know he's not realistically going to compete from here, but what an honour it would be to see this horse in the flesh
