If it's any consolation I nearly did exactly the same thing

It wasn’t a conscious decision of mine to embrace middle age so earnestly

Players Championship Results
4pts - Gninnur Karona, Mantorok & Iranu
3pts - Holden Chinaski
1pt - ChengduFan, SnookerFan, Juddernaut88, Prop
0pts - McManusFan, SnookerEd25
Leaderboard
1st - Gninnur Karona (22pts)
2nd - Mantorok (19pts)

4th - SnookerFan (12pts)
5th - Holden Chinaski & McManusFan (10pts)

It's still all to play for at the top, especially with Gninnur's wildcard (Si Jiahui) still being in play.

That’s interesting, because on the 9 March leaderboard I had 8 points. Now I’m behind Prop, who has 3

Did I lose points for fielding an ineligible player or something?

Sorry Ed, I missed you off the leaderboard. I'll correct it when I get home later.

For the Tour Championship:
Everyone apart from Prop is able to score points, however Holden and SnookerFan both have one player who is not in the draw.

Only ChengduFan, Juddernaut88 and myself can score point. I'm the only one with Higgins, the other two have Selby.
A win for Selby will put ChengduFan in contention for the grand prize* with a potential three way race at the Worlds. Juddernaut and myself are destined for mid-table obscurity.
*prize may or may not exist.

Tour Championship Update
Point scorers:
McManusFan 3pts
ChengduFan 1pt
Juddernaut88 1pt
While a good personal result for me, it's locked down the competition a bit. It's now a two horse race between Gninnur Karona and Mantorok, with Manty needing to pick the winner to stand any chance of winning.
Leaderboard
1st Gninnur Karona 22pts*
2nd Mantorok 19pts
3rd ChengduFan 14pts
4th McManusFan 13pts
5th SnookerFan 12pts
6th Juddernaut88 & Holden Chinaski 10pts
8th Iranu 9pts
9th SnookerEd25 8pts
10th Prop 3pts
*Still has wildcard in play. Unless Si Jiahui wins the WC, Gninnur Karona will lose 2 pts.

Why not?
It's not like players like Luca Brecel could win it.
Oh wait.

Ah but if Ding loses his first matache and Judd wins his, Judd is guaranteed to get to the third round.
I'm trying to wrap my head around the probabilities but I have a sneaking suspicion the curse doesn't change the likelihood of Judd winning (until we know if Ding wins the first match or not).
