Indeed, In 2002 John Higgins hit eight centuries in his first two matches, winning 10-1 against James Wattana and 13-2 against Graeme Dott yet lost comfortably in the quarter-finals to Matthew Stevens.
You can be flying, (remember Jimmy always is in practise ;) ) but it only takes one person to bring your campaign to an abrupt halt.

Sadly, Jimmy wouldn't even win even if 127 pro players all suddenly died. He'd be beaten by an amateur.
