New dates for the Tour Championship: 20th-26th June
https://wst.tv/coral-tour-championship- ... e-on-itv4/Tournament extended to a seventh day so that just one table is required. One match per day suggests that the Final will be 19 or 21 but yet to be confirmed.

This is great news, being played at the end of June leaves plenty of time for the mess of one table crucible qualifiers etc if it comes to it with them now being scheduled for August/July.
Might even get another tourney in before the Worlds at that rate? Maybe something that would have took place in the 2021 season originally ?
Also this seems to suggest everything is being played at Marshall Arena, we're not going to see the worlds played there as well, are we?

That makes sense. I'd seen rumours that tickets were being refunded for that on Twitter.
So it wasn't cancelled, just moved.

I have to take compulsory leave in June, but couldn't have the date.

If Ding can't make it back, then would Maguire get his place? Also, if Higgins and Maguire wouldn't travel to Milton Keynes for the Covid Classic, would they travel down for the Tour Championship?
The top-8 (on the 1-year list) of players who are appearing in the Covid Classic are:
Trump, Selby, Robertson, Allen, Wilson, Perry, Holt and Gilbert.
Yan is in the country, but said he didn't feel ready to play with no practice.

So Yan’s saying he won’t play just because he hasn’t practised?

how so? if he's not been practicing and thus thinks he won't play well, makes sense to me.

But most people probably haven't been practicing either. Might as well turn up and give it a go. Nobody will think less of him if he loses?
If nothing else, it's an earning opportunity in these weird times.

Exactly. Players often win matches playing badly.

Why oh why? Sunday finals are pretty much snooker cannon at this point.
People are at home on Sundays/not working on Sundays really don't get this.

It depends on the player. Some players can perform decently without much practice. Some players can't stand playing when underprepared.
But it did surprise me. He's stayed in Sheffield all this time, you'd think he would take up the invite. The boy Fan Zhengyi also, although his hometown is one of the few still in lockdown.

Is there a reason why this and the CL are finishing on weekdays?
