You see PTC was criticised big time by Top Players but effectively missed by Lower Rank Players. Top Players wanted more summer Off and lower rank players wants to play during the summer ie Earn Cash. Top players loves invitationals they can play and earn without the pressure of ranking points while lower rank players cant play in them.

Easy. Change the ranking system. It would solve all problems that exist in snooker!

An incremental system - if you win it goes up, if you lose it goes down. That way every tournament is a ranking tournament, including Shanghai, the Masters, Champion of Champions, Austrian Open, my local club championship, etc. Many more summer invitational events, players can pick and choose their schedules. We don't have these qualifying rounds in Barnsley and Preston, and organisers are guaranteed to get the players they want in the venues. It would also address the issue of slow/negative play. What's not to like?
