Carrington not playing (10 letters, so somewhat of a big name. Same as O'Sullivan if you count the apostrophe)

I shudder to think what Jimmy White gets up to at the Christmas parties he attends.

Yes, seems like the structure is exactly the same for the Austrian Masters and the German Masters. I guess neither wants to be inferior to the other.

Another disappointing result for Anthony MacGill, as he loses 5-4 to Mitchell Mann.
James Cahill beats Chang Binguy 5-4 on the final black, after trailing 3-4. Jackson Page also recorded a good win over Jamie O'Neill on the final black with the same scoreline as well in the decider (67-63).

Tian Pengfei just beat Joe Perry on the final pink, while Peter Lines forced a decider on his match against Dominic Dale and is on a break too.

Cahill got 2 snookers in that final frame, was 40 behind with 1 red left. But he's a veteran (24 next week) compared to the inexperienced Chang!

He did OK, but Carter is very tough. Zhang has improved, but most likely will be thrown overboard in April. Let's hope he at least gets to play in the World Championship qualifiers once!
