Kaspersky Riga Masters Qualifying !!!

Monday 10th- Thursday 13th of June at Ponds Forge Int Sports Centre, Sheffield

Here We go again New Season and New World Champion Judd Trump will have that acolade for the whole season but your only as good as your last match.

Judd wont be involved in Riga and will get most of his matches carried over to the main venue so will be spared this process this year

So new pros and some experiance players will kick off the season trying to qualify for the Kaspersky Riga Masters.

Shaun Murphy, Kyren Wilson, Stephen Maguire, Stuart Bingham, Barry Hawkins, Luca Brecel, Jack Lisowski and Crucible giant Killer James Cahill wwill all be in sheffield for the opening event of 2019/2020 season.

Who wll make the grade and reach Riga this year?

What is the reason for doing these qualifying rounds so early? They could be a month later. The players, non-UK players especially, would surely prefer a longer break between seasons.

Yes, certainly time between the other side of the world cup and the actual tournaments to schedule these.

Maybe...venues are booked for July or are more expensive to hire then?

Or it gives first time qualifiers more time to sort out visas if theres a month gap inbetween?

Why seed #16 face seed #18 (Yan Bingtao [16] - Anthony McGill [18]) in 1st round ?
Late registration of one of these players ?

Only 1 to 16 are seeded and then draw the rest randomly
