If Judd does go on to win it, I can see him getting another 2 or 3 to his resume, maybe even more.
But if he doesn't, with every year that passes, he'll be ever closer to emulating poor ol' Jimmy White.

None of those made the quarters that year.
I know. But were they the top 4?

Thats right.
There's no garantees Judd will ever win one. In the early 90s most will have thought it was only a matter of time before Jimmy won it, but he didnt. Even Matthew Stevens, if you asked some people they would tell you he would become World Champion for sure. And the late great Paul Hunter, we will never know but he too might not have been World Champ.
The fact is like you say every year that passes its harder and harder so now is the time.

Judd is not the player of the season, but he could be if he wins this.

Lol you seriously believe that?
Judd: 3 Finals, 3 titles
Robbo: 6 Finals, 3 titles
Ronnie: 7 Finals, 5 titles
There's absolutely no debate who the best player has been, and its not Judd.

However, if Judd or Robbo win this title, then either will become player of the season. Until then, belongs to Ronnie.

Don't think that will be the case here.
Judd and Robbo will play the final.
neither of them are in the top 3 for a start.

Yea Robbo has definitly overtook Judd now
its unbelievable when you think about it since last years World Championship both Ronnie and Neil ranking has improved where as Judd despite his best ever season has gone down 3 places
Ronnie 2>1
Robertson 10>4
Trump 4>7

Yeah, great interview. It was the complete opposite to the James Cahill press conference.

Didn’t see a whole lot wrong with Cahill’s interview aside from not speaking to the papers. But we don’t know if he’s write or wrong not to.

One last word on Cahill. He faced the two most disrespectful players in the draw who used intimidating tactics against him. Maguire may have won the match today but he is just a spoilt brat who behaves like a junior.
Cahill will be around for years and Maguire will be off the tour in 3 years.

I'd love to be wrong. But I personally have my doubts that Ding will ever be World Champion.

Kyren is a nice guy, but I'd prefer Barry Hawkins.

How was Ronnie intimidating Cahill? By playing his C game? This was the least intimidating version of Ronnie ever!

Been out for two days, a friends birthday that got way silly. I woke up last night at 11:30, the snooker had all finished!
Did I miss anything? Selby, Willo, Murphy gone... bickery threads on here zzzzzzz

Pinkie you were bang on about Selby not playing well enough. Clever sausage. He got beat by a taxi driver.

Gary Wilson is actually a very good player who has stuck to full time snooker for a good while now. I admire him hugely for his efforts in supporting himself by working whilst still competing earlier in his career.
Many snooker players have never had to do any type of work and so - for me - Gary has done exceptionally well to bounce back on the tour and get close to the top 20.
