Selby's long game was non existent when he lost to trump last week. that department looks much sharper today.

Davison completes the bottle job. He was 3-1 up, and had multiple chances to win the match. Robertson wins the decider though.

Terrible news Ash. I, like you, have little time for the Aussie Peacock.

The good news is he's looking very beatable. If anyone turns up they should beat him comfortably.

Yes by failing to pot the colours at 2-3 behind. A miserable exit. More chipping away at the aura he once had that had players shaking in their boots.

This is a very low quality last 16 lineup.
John Higgins vs Jack Lisowski
Ding Junhui vs Joe O'Connor
Robbie Williams vs Stuart Bingham
Zhao Xintong vs Alexander Ursenbacher
Mark Selby vs Hossein Vafaei
Scott Donaldson vs Ian Burns
Michael Georgiou vs Neil Robertson
Kurt Maflin vs Elliot Slessor

Higgins vs Lisowski might be alright.

According to live scores, it's 3-3.
Is it behind?

On paper it doesn't look great but who knows where we could get a magic match or three. Snooker is creating new heroes all the time.

There are still three live matches, but I have taken into account the most likely outcomes. If I'm wrong the last 16 lineup will be even worse than the one I've posted there.

Another way that Selby and Higgins are very similar - their long game is easily the weakest/most consistent part of their game.

a 147 only wins you one frame. And in this case, about 9 big ones.
