Johnny... first off, sorry to hear of your mum’s passing. Love to you and yours.
No, I didn’t detect booing. The crowd played around with the Loooooocaaaaahhh chant and it became quite silly at times. Loved it.

Johnny, I’m really sorry to hear about your mother.
It will take some time but eventually, I find, the happy memories you made with a person you love while they were with you starts to get the upper hand on the grief.
My thoughts are sent to you from across the Atlantic.

Ding will probably give Ronnie a much tougher game than Luca could have done.
I know everyone is already seeing Ronnie as the winner, but that is not so clear to me.
He hasn't played bad, but he hasn't exactly been firing on all cylinders either. Ding will give him a tough game.

When Ding forfeited that frame and left the arena - as he came back in my mate Jon shouted 'Oh Diiiiiiiiinggg' in a really reproachful sounding way as if to say 'what were you thinking!' hehehe

“Luuuuca” certainly seems really popular with the crowd.
I always look forward to a Ding/Ronnie clash. Usually a masterclass of positional play.

O'Sullivan wasn't that bad. He made about six breaks over 60.
Ding didn't look great to me. I would rather have watched Ronnie v Luca - more exciting.

Ding's long game was really poor last night, he'll need to change that if he's to beat Ronnie.

I saw the damp squib of Robbo getting drubbed by Smurph 10-1 a couple of years ago. A drab, one-sided final.

I would also have prefered Luca v ROS. Yes Ding v ROS are good matches, but Luca hasnt played Ronnie much, and in fact he won their last match in China.
Either way, if Ding can somehow win then for God sake hope he wins the whole tournament. He won against ROS at the Worlds but sadly couldnt finish the job.

Ronnie / Ding vs Judd / Robertson it is then. On form it should be a Ronnie v Judd final.
