Bit of anti climax to have this a week after the Uk. But I'm looking forward to seeing some live snooker in person.

Top 16 are seeded the others randomly.

That's why 17th placed could play one of the Top 16, which is wrong in my opinion.

Yea but there are event where your seeded.
Back in the 90s you had ranking event where it was random draw from last 64 its designed to help lower rank players get a foot hold and so top players not protected.

Marco Fu needs a really good run here otherwise he’s going to drop down to at least 21 in the rankings, potentially a little further.

So we’ve got a retired Hendry, an unmotivated Higgins, two match fixers and now a blind man. It’s coming along for Ronnie.

I really do think after all he's achieved tonight at the UK Champs he should withdraw from this event...
He'll just go to Scotland playing kamikaze snooker... not that I mind it, he did the same until the Last 16 in NI and almost won the title...
but after so much hype tonight... to go back to Scotland playing seems a bit off... he could still go as a pundit though.
He might improve his centuries tally and if he does hopefully make the 1000 at The Masters.

Hawkins v Yuelong is a bit of a weird one too for a L128.
On a flip side it makes the competition a little more interesting earlier.
